A guide book from Charlton Press. This book contains a standard reference for Canadian coin collectors. It records and lists over forty years of non-circulating legal tender coins issued by the Royal Canadian Mint in Canada. "The first non-circulating legal tender coin struck in Canada was a 1908 Edward Vll gold sovereign. This con was struck at the Ottawa Branch Mint in specimen quality along with specimen examples of the other five denominations that made up the circulating coins of the day. The difference between the give subsidiary coins and the gold sovereign was that the latter, being struck only in specimen quality, had no circulating counterpart." - Charlton Press
