Guardhouse 2.5 x 2.5 Crown I needed these for the larger coins that I have been trying to put into my three ring binders, the 2 X 2's seem too crowded for my me so I got these larger ones.

I ordered 500 of these Guardhouse flips last year, and was very pleased with them. I do not use them for Crowns or Liberty Silver Eagles, I use them for Casino Chips. The batch I ordered last year had good mylar film in them that stretched nicely over the inserted chips and out of the 500 that I used, I only lost two to breakage when being stapled shut (this can occur if the plastic/mylar stretches too much so that it actually rips. As long as the film is thick enough this does not happen. The latest shipment of the same Guardhouse flips, which I received last week are not the same. These have a noticeably thinner mylar film (not really sure it even is mylar), and out of 100 that I have used thus far, I've lost 12 to film breakage. It is also noticeable that the film is not applied as consistently as it was in the past, as there are visible wrinkles in the film stretched over the enclosed chip (or coin), which detracts from being able to view it clearly. If Guardhouse has lowered their manufacturing standards to save money, they've lost a consumer here. I won't order them again.
