National Park Quarters - America the Beautiful Quarters Program

The United States Mint will begin releasing national park quarters for its America the Beautiful Quarters program in 2010 starting with Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas. This new quarters series will follow in the footsteps of the recently concluded State Quarters program, which also included six territorial quarters. The America the Beautiful series will feature 56 quarters that are “emblematic of a national park or other national site in each state, the District of Columbia, and each territory of the United States.”

The US Mint will release five quarters each year starting with Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas with the remainder of the quarters to be released in the order that sites became national parks.

 

National Park Quarters Order of Release

The first five national park quarters to be released in 2010 are:

• Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas
• Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
• Yosemite National Park, California
• Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
• Mt. Hood National Forest, Oregon
