America the Beautiful National Park Quarters

On June 4, 2008, Congress proposed the Americas Beautiful National Parks Quarter Dollar Coin Act of 2008. It was signed into law on December 8, 2008 by President Bush. The overall program will honor 56 national sites through what is now known as The United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters™ Program (National Park Quarters) The first five quarters will be minted in 2010 and will honor:

• Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas
• Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
• Yosemite National Park, California
• Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
• Mt. Hood National Forest, Oregon
